As one of the largest private hospitals in Southeast Asia, serving over 1.1 million patients annually, including over 700,000 international patients from over 190 nationalities, Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok is adding capacity and convenience by launching its first greenfield project in its 44-year history.
We have acquired 16.3 rai of land near the legendary Blue Canyon Country Club in Phuket and about 3 kilometers from the Phuket International Airport. The BIH Board of Directors have approved this approximate 4.3 Billion THB Phuket project.
The first phase of the Bumrungrad presence occurred in 2022 with the opening of the Bumrungrad Referral Office in Phuket Town. This was followed up in 2023 with the opening of the VitalLife Longevity-Focused Wellness Center in Cherngtalay. The main hospital campus in the Mai Khao district of Phuket will include the 212-bed boutique hospital, an advanced diagnostic, a VitalLife longevity center. BIH anticipates beginning construction in Q4 2024. Once complete, services offered at the new Phuket facilities will also include Family & Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedic & Spine Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Gender Affirmation, Urology, and many others.
